Scheduled Maintenance April 10: Backbone Upgrade to 2x100G
Scheduled Maintenance: Backbone Upgrade
Date: Friday, April 10, 2026 Time: 19:00โ23:00 CEST (17:00โ21:00 UTC) Impact: Brief interruptions may occur during the upgrade
What’s happening?
We’re upgrading our backbone connection from 2x40 Gbps to 2x100 Gbps, increasing our total transit capacity from 80 Gbps to 200 Gbps.
Why?
- Increased capacity โ Ensures we can deliver the bandwidth our customers need, even during peak traffic
- Future-proofing โ With 200G total capacity, we have ample headroom for growth in the years ahead
- Redundancy โ Dual 100G links provide full redundancy in case of a link failure
How will you be affected?
During the upgrade, brief interruptions (seconds to minutes) may occur as we migrate traffic between the old and new links. We’re performing this work in the evening to minimize impact.
Services that may be affected:
- VPS and dedicated servers (brief packet loss)
- Colocation customers with transit through us
- DNS traffic (automatic failover to anycast nodes)
What do you need to do?
Nothing โ the upgrade is entirely on our side. If you have time-critical jobs scheduled for Friday evening, we recommend rescheduling them outside the maintenance window.
After the upgrade
Once complete, our network status page will be updated with the new capacity. You can follow real-time status at /network-status/.
